Ever been to a restaurant where you feel at home?
I have after trying out Don Antonio's.
Sure, it has a hole in the wall feel and because it's grown popular quickly, has the shoulder-to-shoulder feel of a subway, but that gives it its charm.
While its pizza would probably fall just below excellent to me, they win huge points in this market full of Chicagoan and New Yorkers by serving BOTH thin crust and deep dish.
But the rest of the HUGE menu in this place is just some of the best tasting Italian food in town. And the prices are pretty good too.
But what really takes this place to five-star level is the staff. It feels like they're working for you, rather than the restaurant. Just fantastic.
