  • As a family, we were anticipating the opening of this Sobey's. Their wasn't a grocery in this neighbourhood, until this one opened. They have a Mac's store in the area, but it served only in extreme cases where you needed something in desperation. Well the grand opening, came and went and what a difference a year or two makes. The opening was very impressive with all the things a new store opening has to offer. The one complaint I have, since the opening is the fresh seafood counter and full service meat counter. To put things in as few as words as possible, lets just say that the Fresh in fresh seafood is NO longer. They have about a quarter of the selection in these showcases, as they did opening day and the days that followed. The rest of the store as well looks like it's had better days. the average person may not notice the sometime bare shelves and out of stock items, and green staff. The one positive, I do have to say is the Pharmacy is quite professional. They do tend to get quite busy at times although.
