I WANT to give the Hop Farm Brewing Company 10/5 stars. I adore this place! However just a few things before I begin my review.
I have a soy bean allergy. So miso and soy are a no.
Some random allergies to things like apples & strawberries.
My gallbladder was murdered by taking a prescription, removed, and I no longer consume red meats, well any meat other than fish & chicken, and onions comfortably.
Can't drink beer or carbonated beverages- more digestive discomfort.
My body rejects things most people love. Sadly. It's rarely an issue at restaurants, except when there is a limited menu and it then is. Despite that-
I still adore HFBC! Can't wait to eat there again and again. (Fingers crossed.) The problem is that the menu is really, really limited but THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! But the menu is so limited that it's impossible for me to know if I can actually eat a meal there or have a drink on a given day. Even though a vegetarian option is typically available, with a soy allergy it makes life difficult. The last time I was there for dinner. It literally came down to the last black bean burger. A friend of a friend was gracious enough to cancel her order of the black bean burger and chose something else.
When I can have dinner, my favorite are the burgers available for me. Amazing. I'm fairly certain they are made in house and it shows. The last one that I had was a black been patty on a soft bun. Absolutely amazing. Perfectly seasoned & cooked.
I also really love their cheese sampler. I'm not a cheese expert in anyway other than I know that I really like cheese. A lot. Their selection is absolutely fantastic and served with a beautiful presentation of olives.
I really love the atmosphere and have been suggesting it when friends and family want to go out but there is always this concern in the back of my mind that there won't be anything I can comfortably have except cheese. I do wish they served something besides cider at times. (Apple allergy.) Flattening a beer is not appetizing. :) But again, despite this, I love this place. Absolutely love it. You have to go and experience how quaint and fantastic their offerings are to understand how I can love them so much despite my weirdo allergies.
