After buying a 1999 Ducati Monster M900 with little service history I needed a good shop to check it out and figure out what it needed to make it safe and reliable.
After calling around and getting thrown crazy service cost numbers by several of them, I checked out yelp and decided to go with Cycle werks which is conveniently located by my house.
During the call, French was very calm and played down his skills on Ducati Desmos, almost too much so. I realized after I had talked to him in person that he knows a TON about these bikes and likes new ones as well as oldies! I can tell he liked to tinker with the old ones better though!
Upon arrival, I was greated by French, with a big smile. Man is the man chatty! but I loved it! we talked about italian motorcycle jewelry until my wife reminded me of my family obligations...
French not only figured out my oil leak issue in 2 mn flat, but did a very thorough inspection of the bike, replaced key worn components such as the cam belts (and kept them for me to have) and gave me simple advises on follow up maintenance required to maintain good reliability. He volunteered to help with some of the bike cosmetic challenges as well.
I have and will continue to tell my buddies to go there. So far they have all been pleased and they are picky...
Its a shop for people who are passionate about their bikes but want a "no frill", low cost option. Keep the great work up French!
