| - I came in here because I have a large, decades old, keloided scar, a couple minor skin tags and a mole I wanted removed/looked at. Came in via appointment, got right in (had my forms filled out in advance like a good patient), got my scar injected, got my skin tags and some moles removed and sent off to the lab, and was out in like 30-40 minutes. Really good experience.
The receptionist was very pleasant despite being clearly hard at work. Marisol (whose title I don't know so let's call her a specialist) was very helpful in answering my questions and pleasant overall. She did a great job with my injections, they were hardly noticeable. Aaron the Physicians Assistant was very personable, calmed my fears answered all my questions and I felt no pain as he removed a couple small portions of my epidermis.
I have seen some complaints on here about seeing a PA instead of an MD. I worked in a hospital for almost ten years, and allow me to assure you that there are many cases where PAs are better than MDs. Personally I usually prefer a personable PA or NP over an overworked MD, and I felt I was in excellent hands with Aaron.
Bonus is that when I had questions about how these small incisions would affect my Jiu Jitsu Aaron knew all about it because he does Jiu Jitsu. That was great.
Total cost was just my copay (which will vary). I will update if I get some giant bill from the insurance company or my arm falls off, but otherwise this has been a great experience.
