  • By the time I made it inside the Eldorado I couldn't see straight. I started partying in the parking lot and got a little carried away. I was having a high ol' time and might have never even gone in the joint but my Bic lighter ran out of fluid and the damn rental car had an empty hole where the cigarette lighter was supposed to be. Love me a good Henderson buzz and, baby, I had it hummin' The parking lot here is super cool. First of all, it's free! Secondly, it's right next to the casino, just a few yards away from the stairs that lead down to the front door. Thirdly, there's almost always plenty of space to park. But what I dig the most is that in Henderson you can smoke your damn brains out and no one looks at you sideways. In fact, the Eldorado will not even let you in the front door without cigarettes. Smoking is mandatory here. There's a cigarette machine right by the front door if you're not holding. If you run out of smokes while you're playing there's enough residual smoke in the air to keep you going until you can snag another pack. So, like I was saying, after an hour or two in the parking lot, I was in a particularly fine condition. I made it down the stairs and inside the casino. I found that if I closed my left eye, I could get most everything to focus. I staggered into the bathroom to take a leak. I washed up, then headed to the back of the casino. It was just before a Bingo session was just about to start. I whipped out my players card and slapped down a twenty dollar bill and I was good to go. If you are way too high to gamble, Bingo is your game! You just have to be able to focus enough to punch in the code they give you into the little bingo machine. The machine keeps track of everything. You can chose from a variety of different ways to view your cards. The machine beeps when you are 1 number away from a Bingo and plays "We're In The Money" when you hit a Bingo. The machines are really helpful. Every Bingo hall features games with weird winning patterns (small kite, large kite, postage stamp, etc), and unless you play all the time, it's hard as hell to mark and keep track your cards. I love playing at the Eldorado, not just because I've Bingoed here. For me, the bigger draw is the Bingo Room employees. Gary is just hilarious. He is extremely witty and keeps the whole room laughing. Even if you don't win (and that's usually the case with Bingo), you are definitely going to have some laughs if Gary is calling the session. By the time the session was over my buzz was nearly gone. I seriously needed some drinks. I decided to head over to Emerald Island Casino. Mikey C says: tell St Peter at the Pearly Gates I hate to make him wait, but I just gotta have another cigarette.
