  • I called ahead to ask if they exchange from Canadian dollar to Indian rupee. The person on the other line chirped, "Yes we do!" Then, to be safe, I asked, "What kind of notes?" She said, "500 and 1,000"............Seriously?! This scares me. (What if I hadn't known about India's situation?!) In my view, it was like they were offering to take my money in exchange for worthless pieces of paper. I don't see how that's a good deal, so I'm going to stay far, far away.
