| - I just moved here into a 2-bedroom apartment. So far, its been sooooo nice! I had toured a lot of apartment complexes in the area, but as soon as I walked through The Cooper 202, I fell in love with it. The brand-new feeling is refreshing, but the vibe in here is what got me the most. Everyone I've ran into or worked with for my lease has seemed genuinely happy, helpful, and friendly. My neighbors are lovely, as well! They even knocked on my door to greet me and introduce themselves.
There's some pretty rad things available to you if you live here, including a heated pool, a couple workout rooms, various fire pits, Starbucks coffee at the front desk, a dog park/dog washing station, a playground (my toddler won't stop asking to go play on it), etc etc etc. It really does feel like living in a resort. As far as I've seen, the upkeep here is on point. The landscaping is maintained and I've noticed security walking around occasionally.
The Valet trash system is pretty cool. I've never lived anywhere that has this, and I'm sold! It's hardly any extra to your payment and is soooooo worth it. My least favorite chore EVER is lugging full trash bags out to dumpsters or worrying about trash day... this eliminates all of that. I just stick my trashcan outside of my door in the evening and my trash miraculously disappears in the next couple hours. I'm having trouble wrapping my brain around how easy it is. It's soooooo helpful as a mom.
Another note, as a mom, I was worried about noise waking up my kid. It's super quiet here, at least in my little corner. Everyone is respectful of each other and nothing has woken up the kiddo at night or during nap time.
The space in this apartment is insane. I thought I had a lot of stuff, but I still have so much open storage that I don't know what to do with it. I have empty drawers everywhere. This makes decorating and cleaning easy, and it's easy to maintain a modern and beautiful apartment.
The only downside that I can foresee as of right now might be the parking. I have an assigned spot, which is great and all, but guest parking is more limited. I haven't run into problems with any of my guests so far, but I can see why some reviews mention this.
I also noticed some people mention the gates. They seem to stay open all day, and close at night to have more restricted access. This is how my complex was a few years ago, and I loved it. During the day, it makes it easy to not worry about gate codes or access fobs or waiting for it to open when you're in a rush. If someone is going to get in that doesn't live here, it would be easy during the day anyways. I like that it's just that tiny bit of extra security/monitoring at night.
Everything is cool here, really. If you're looking for a new place, I recommend at least taking the grand tour and walking through the complex with an employee (Jake was especially awesome to work with!). The price point is slightly higher than other complexes in the area, but I honestly believe that it's sooo worth it.
Holy long review. If you got this far, I applaud you!
