We had dinner reservations before watching Absinthe. It's vegetarian friendly.
We ordered a bottle of wine. I didn't pick it so I'm not sure what it was. It was recommended by the server. When she brought the first bottle, it was a different vintage year than what was on the menu, so she brought back something similar but more expensive. It was red, full bodied, fruity (Cherry), like a Syrah or Merlot.
The Greek salad with tomatoes, cucumbers and feta was amazing. I thought it would be boring but the tomatoes were so sweet and juicy.
We also had the Greek spreads app, five whipped spreads with pita and veggies. I know two of the spreads were hummus and tzatiki but not sure of the other three. I loved them all. Very creamy! My friend who is Greek even raved about the spreads.
I had some fried calamari (nothing spectacular, but still very good) and Mediterranean sea bream (grilled fish, too much bone for me though).
We finished dinner with espresso martinis and a Greek yogurt and fruit platter for dessert. The fruits were so ripe and tasted even better in the honey drizzled yogurt.
The bill arrived and I was pleasantly surprised that the server charged us for the lower priced bottle of wine, which I returned to her via her tip. Everyone makes mistakes and I appreciated the honesty.
