The most beautiful hotel I have stayed in.
The Renaissance has a style perfectly in line with what I think a beautiful hotel should be: classic, opulent but not too ornate or trendy. This hotel makes gold and crystal chandeliers look desirable again. Our two-doubles room was located in one corner of the building. While there was no view, the odd shape of the room made it feel very spacious. My friend and I were able to choose from a pillow menu when we booked. It made me feel special cuz it is so hard to find that perfect firm support pillow in hotels. I had a wonderful night of sleep in that comfy bed.
The hotel is centrally located and within steps to many dining, shopping and gambling options if you so desire. It is only about 3-4 blocks to The Q. My friend and I were able to walk to dinner, then to the Madonna concert and back with no problems. When we returned around midnight, they were serving complimentary sandwiches in the lobby! Now, that's what I call service with a heart!!!!
We also paid for the breakfast package for $20 extra. We were so happy we did! That breakfast buffet is totally worth the $10pp charge. Not only did I enjoy plenty of smoked salmon, I also enjoyed made to order eggs Benedict and wonderful service. Our coffee and juice were refilled promptly.
Parking was pricey but not outside of what bigger cities charge: $30 valet and $25 to self park. We self parked with no problem since the garage is attached to the hotel.
While this is one of the pricier hotels I have stayed in, I am more than happy to return due to the service, location and amenities.
