I had a little difficulty finding this place since it is not exactly on Centre Ave. Rather, it is located in the walkway with Target to your left and Menchie's is on your right. They do have a sign if you are headed westbound. Also, note this location is in East Liberty and not Shadyside since I wasn't far from some of my favorite places here.
This is your typical do it yourself yogurt bar. You know the drill. If you want to sample anything then you take a tiny cup and feel free to serve yourself. Once you decide then grab a larger cup. You then can choose your flavor(s) or hybrid them if the two you like are on the same soft serve. Once you have taken the amount you want there are you candy and cake toppings bar following by your fruit toppings bar, and lastly your sauce toppings. They even have pieces of waffle to stick in your cup to make it seem a bit like a waffle cone.
Everything is weighed and you pay according to weight. Cost is $.55 ounce. This is always so difficult for me because there's no way you can tell what you are going to pay so I normally don't put a lot on it. They do have a gender neutral bathroom.
I opted for the Dole whip and put minimal toppings on it and it was very good! It is probably my favorite of the yogurts. The staff was extremely friendly and offered the rewards program to me. You spend $50.00 and then you get $5.00 off your purchase. There is no WiFi. Outdoor seating is available. If you visit on Sunday feel free to park in any of the East Liberty pay lots since parking is free that day.
This is the 2nd location in the Pittsburgh area. The other one is located at PNC Park which after I asked is open on game days only. If you love yogurt then this is the place for you. However, be aware of the fact that I have visited other yogurt shoppes around the city and have been pleased with their services.
However, if it is ice cream you are craving then I would suggest you take a little walk over into Shadyside-Millie's is right there.
