Dear AVIS,
Here are some hints to improve your efficiency at this location:
1. Don't mix the clueless, non-reservation people with the well-prepared people who actually have reservations in hand. Paying customers won't be happy that way.
2. Don't have the counter guy call down to garage for every car, especially if he has to walk to the back room to do make the call. There's a computer, use it.
3. Don't try to upsell all the insurance and gas. I am going to decline them no matter how long you talk to me about the impending end of the world during my three-day rental.
4. Do bring in extra staff during Spring Training. You know, that little baseball thing that happens every year when planeloads of people fly in, and you make your money.
I had a lot of time to observe your operations while in line - an HOUR wait to get the car even with a reservation in hand. I think that's the reason why your line was multiple times longer than the other rental places and not because you had that many more customers. Redonkulous.
