Decent place to see a baseball game, but can't hold a candle to the retro ballparks.
I'm a fan of SkyDome/Rogers Centre and have seen a few baseball games here. It's not a bad place to watch a game. They have decent beer at reasonable prices so that's a plus...but you're watching the hapless Blue Jays, so that's a drawback!
I took the Rogers Center tour and that was kind of interesting. You get to see inside a luxury suite and walk on the "grass". I was amazed to find out that even the warning track is a synthetic carpet material. The tour guide was nice but she really didn't have a lot of cool information to share other than the Wiggles played there.
It's easy to get to from Union Station and it's near some great bars in the Entertainment District. Downtown ballparks are cool so I give this three solid stars.
