  • I have been to First Watch many a time. I always get the same old thing day in and day out. Well today was a big kick in the face as to what I'm missing out on at this amazing breakfast/brunch location. It was a long day at work, so when I arrived I was pretty much starving for some food, and upon seeing the four(!!!!) course menu I was pumped up. First off, the million dollar bacon lived up to its name. Big, hearty slices, slathered in brown sugar and maple syrup, I could have easily eaten ten more slices they were so incredible. It came with some avocado toast, over easy eggs, and a drink called 'Morning Meditation,' which was a lovely take on your standard orange juice. Following it was another peculiar green 'Kale Tonic' concoction, which I eyed with great skepticism when it was placed on the table. However, it was actually quite sweet, with a great apple taste, another winner! Paired with an amazing corn hash that had me wondering how I could have missed all of this before! Third up, the Ham & Gruyere Melt. I will often get First Watch's omelete variation of this dish, so it was familiar, but just as tasty as usual. My stomach was already reaching the breaking point by this time, but I reserved a little room for the fourth and final course, which of course was... Pancakes! Topped with strawberries, ricotta cheese, and lemon curd, these did not disappoint at all, and were the perfect 'dessert' to this great breakfast dinner. Is that enough meals in one? I especially loved how the jars of maple syrup that accompanied the pancakes were heated, which was a fantastic touch! This is probably THE best Elite event I've ever been to in terms of the food. There was nothing I didn't like, and if I had a bottomless stomach I would have eaten so much more! Many thanks to Hailey and the entire team at First Watch for hosting. I simply can't wait to come back and get my hands on more of that million dollar bacon!
