We were a Chefs Plate customer for a short 2 months, receiving 3 meals/week.
What a horrible experience. Two major complaints
1) We got baja fish tacos where one of the main ingredients was the mango (for the mango salsa). The mango was so hard to even cut open - so we ended up having to go to the grocery store to buy a mango. Which kind of defeats the purpose of this service.
2) A week ago I made the Masala risotta, and in the thyme I found a huge cricket stuck to the thyme... thankfully it was dead. I have a huge phobia with bugs in food, so not a pleasant experience, and had to throw out the meal and again head to the grocery store.
Have been trying to resolve my last complaint with Chefs plate unsuccessfully... have not heard back from them in 4 days. They also do not have any continuity with their email communications. In my thread I have with them, I noticed that I'm dealing with a different person everytime, within the same email thread!!!
Think this is the first negative review I've made on yelp... but just felt like I needed to send out the warning, and have my peace with this situation using this forum.
