After a decade of reparing bikes at JT's in Henderson (recently closed), Jay has opened his own mobile bike repair service. Fully legit, licensed, etc. He's the real deal.
He did a great job for me at a very reasonable price -- I would guess about 2/3 what a bike shop would charge. He provided lots of helpful advice too AND I got to watch and have him explain what he was doing and why. So I didn't just get my bikes repaired, but got great information too.
Jay was even able to fix the shifting on one bike by straightening the derailleur hanger with a specialized tool and making a few adjustments -- This was a bike that a local bike shop (not JT's) was unable to fix without extensive (and expensive), unnecessary part replacement.
He worked on 3 bikes for me, replacing bent brakes on one of them, extensively adjusting the derailleurs on all three, straightening the derailleur hanger, and helping my girlfriend get fitted on her bike. All three bikes work great now.
Great guy, super knowledgeable and professional. Get him while you can!
