| - I deem thee Hickory Tavern.
This place is very similar to Hickory Tavern. Good selection of craft beer on draft, good selection of food, lots of TV's. You go here, for those items, and then depending on the quality of service and the execution of the kitchen, you have a good experience or not so good experience.
We arrived around 6:30, and were told there was a 30 minute wait for a table. ok, not so bad. Then within 5 minutes, they seated us. We walked by 4 empty tables on the way to our seat. Not sure why the host was so far off on the seating wait time, but things were looking up. The waiter was nice and knowledgeable. I ordered a beer flight (which HT doesn't have). We order potato skins as an appetizer. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. Our waiter came back through twice and asked if we were ready to order our dinner, and we kept telling him, after the appetizer arrives, we'll order our food. On his third visit, I told him, I don't believe the appetizer is actually ever going to arrive, so let's order the food. After about 30 minutes, the appetizer finally arrived, and it was good. Real potatoes, not the frozen kind. The food arrived relatively quickly, but without our side order of fries. We waited, waited, waited. I told the waiter, you forgot the fries. We had finished the entree. we waited. And finally, the fries arrived.
The food here was good. The beer selection excellent. It was crowded. The execution on our order was poor. Not a lot of parking. Its very similar feel and menu to Hickory Tavern, with a 2x better beer selection.
