So, this place isn't necessarily my cup of tea, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great establishment. It's got everything you want from a bar environment including loud music and cheap drinks.
The music isn't really my favourite choice, but it satisfies the crowd. It's great music for dancing, but is also good background noise for the uncomfortable silences you may experience. People really get their groove on during some songs (obviously the more popular favourites of the bar) which makes it easy to dance and have a good time.
I really enjoy the set-up of the place too. I think it makes good use of the space it's provided with the bar in the centre, seating all around and a dance floor/stage at the back. There is plenty of seating, but if you don't get there early enough on a busy night you may end up standing since it picks up quite fast.
The problem with the clutter of people is that it tends to get a little crazy on certain nights. I've seen one too many fights break out at this place, both inside and out. That's why it's not really my scene. I don't go out in hopes of seeing a fight. I think it's ridiculous that grown men and women still resort to violence. This is why I don't frequent the Rusty Cage as much as I used to.
The drinks are a little expensive here, but they make up for that with the occasional killer special. Still, even with the specials you can end up spending a good penny for your night.
