This park is huge!
Last week, my friends and I made last minute plans to get together for a birthday party. It took us about hour to coordinate where everyone was because, firstly, we didn't even know the park had a name. For the most part, my friends plugged in Buffalo and Washington Park and were taken to different locations (One even said she was supposed to head to Texas!). On top of that, visitors will want to note a landmark, be it the dog park, or find out whether there are numbers allocated to the football fields so that they could all converge in the same spot. Once that obstacle was through, everything only went uphill.
We took up a couple of shaded picnic tables which were sandwiched between the grassland overlooking the parking lot and the children's playground. This allowed us to bask in the sun on our picnic blankets and still have a good view of our belongings left behind. Also, one of our friends who brought her daughter enjoyed the playground very much.
There are barbecue sites on numerous smaller picnic spots and a friendly ice-cream truck that comes along during the afternoon for the famished soccer kids. Great for when spring rolls in. Family and pet friendly, there's something to enjoy for everyone.
