| - I stayed here years ago, and although there have been some updates since then, amazingly, it still feels like it needs a complete do-over.
Rooms are a good size, with a king or 2 doubles, desk, plenty of drawers and an ok closet. Bathroom is tiny, shower heads are loooow (however did my 6'4" son shower???), and plumbing drips or is slow. Our bed was 2 beds shoved together with a weird hump in the middle.
Although all the housekeeping staff were invariably pleasant, the ones who serviced our room could NOT get the towel count right. Sometimes only one washcloth, sometimes no hand towels. Seems like that would be pretty easy to get right. Checklist, maybe?
The elevators are the biggest adventure, though. The elevators are KIND of SCARY! I haven't been to the Tower of Terror in a while, but when I entered the one with the vibrating doors that took forever to close, buttons that didn't light up, and funny noises, I was right back at California Adventure. Seems important in a "resort" of 20+ floors to have pristinely-maintained elevators. *shudder*
Speaking of resort, I have no idea why there is a $22+ fee per day "resort" fee. I've never felt less like I was in a resort.
I would never to choose to stay there for a pleasure trip and would only return if business demanded. I'm afraid it might. *sigh*
