  • Took my 90 year old mother this year for Mother's Day because last year when husband took me it was fairly decent. This most recent visit to the gospel brunch was not as enjoyable. The chicken fingers were dry. They ran out of turkey at the carving station. A lady dropped a serving spoon on the floor and than put it back on the saucer they had to put during serving. Food was lukewarm. The seating is horrible. When booking do not get a table to the right or left of the sound booth. The tables and chairs sit low and you can't see over/around the booth. There is a railing that if you're sitting in seats 1 and 2 you can't see. Railing is right at eye level. You would have to stand and than the folks behind you wouldn't be able to see the show. The seating chart looks like everything is the same level and of course they don't tell you when you buy the tickets. I bought mine in person and both times I ended up by the damn sound booth. My bad. All the seating is close. Not much elbow room. Banquet table seating and you're not facing the stage. Need to turn your chair around to see stage. Get there early to eat so you can turn your chair around to see show or eat with plate in your lap. After all this place is meant for standup concerts. The saving grace was that both times there was a two person high top table that our server allowed us to sit in. That puts you up high enough to see over the sound booth. Fortunately my mom is a nimble 90 year old so I was able to get her up in the barstool. Our server was very attentive removing plates and getting drink orders. Also this is "new gospel" so don't expect the "old school" back in the day or choir type show. It also depends on the group. This recent trip was a more modern group. Lead female singer was more traditional and very animated. 2015 visit was a different group with a lead male singer and a bit more traditional. There is a lot of "fluff" during the show. Meet and greet. Birthday, anniversary, wedding and special occasion interaction. They really only sing tops 8 songs.
