Located next to the Las Vegas Convention Center
Although we did not stay overnight at this hotel we have come to visit this establishment as it has gone through a few different name changes over the years. This review is strictly for those experiences.
1] In July 2011 we watched on stage the Greg London: "Impressions that Rock" show in the Shimmer Theater when it was known for many years as the Las Vegas Hilton. I remember watching this impressionist with many voices as he duplicated real stars and the pop world's biggest artists. I wonder if he still performs on stage?
2] Attended a 20th Wedding Anniversary in April 2014 when it was brIefly called the LVH (Las Vegas Hotel and Casino). The ceremony and the reception was held in one of the grand ballrooms. The food was provided by the hotel catering services and the menu was delicious! And what's a wedding ceremony without Elvis... of course, he was there! :)
3] And just recently, this past weekend, June 2018, we enjoyed a concert by Barry Manilow inside the International Theater at the renamed Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Redeeming the ticket at their box office booth was fast and easy. Smooth transaction.
The hotel has a rich history of celebrities and music performers gracing the stage showrooms in the past including Elvis Presley, Liberace, and Leon Spinks defeating Muhammad Ali.
