Comfort food at its best - this place rules!
Of course I had to get the scotch eggs- seriously how can you resist a hard boiled egg wrapped in sausage, breaded & fried?
They also have Arancini balls (fried risotto balls) that are so cheesy and delicious.
For dinner, I ordered the cottage pie (which our waitress said we could trade out the chicken for lamb or beef) and came with a humongous pastry puff on top. It was soo good and they give you so much food I had enough to eat and also some leftover for a nice lunch the next day.
Michelle, our waitress, was super-very friendly and attentive and food was delicious. They have a happy hour special from 5-7 $2 off any draft (they have tons of beer here). I guess it's super busy when they have soccer games - thankfully it was all clear on a Monday night.
Will definitely be back - heard their brunch and Sunday supper are both great - there were tons on their menu I want to try - looking at the brisket mac n cheese for next time.
