This has been some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced from any company. Its been so bad that I felt it necessary to leave a review before they've even done the work and apparently I'm not their first customer to do that. My wife had them come out for an estimate to replace a single pane in a window. My wife was told the amount and that they would order the glass and call us when it was in to get it installed. Almost a month went by with no word from them. I called on a Friday to find out the status and whoever it was that answered couldn't find the paperwork. She said she would call me back after she found it so I wouldn't have to sit on hold as I had been hold about 5 minutes. I never got a call back, so I called back the following Monday. I was told they had trouble finding the paperwork because no deposit was put down (because those weren't the instructions given by the employee they sent out) and the glass or the work couldn't be scheduled until that was done.
Now we're selling our house and it was in escrow with the closing a couple of weeks out. To their credit they did say the glass would be in in a couple days and could be installed that Thursday. Which so far is holding up. Time and a desire to not have to deal with finding someone else to do the work is pretty much the only reason I went with them at this point. Especially now since I moved forward with the quote, gave them half down (almost paid in full, but didn't trust them enough to do that), and agreed that the window for the install to occur would be between 11am and 2pm. I just got back to my desk at 5pm to find a voicemail from someone there rescheduling the window to 10am to noon. Upon calling the number that gentleman called me from I get a voicemail full message and then when I called their mainline I learned that their published hours are not their real hours. While they say their hours are 7am - 5pm, their greeting says its actually 7am - 4pm. So someone decided as the very last minute thing to do for their day was to reschedule my install and to call me at a time that if I didn't answer I wouldn't be able to argue with them about it.
For me this is a significant thing as I had to arrange for other family members to be home during this time. While they are able to readjust their schedule to accommodate for this, it is a poor way to run a business to spring scheduling changes on your customer at the last second then run away saying if there's a problem with it to call you first thing in the morning. After seeing some of the reviews here calling the quality of the work into question as well I will definitely be instructing that family member tomorrow to be extremely critical of the work before signing off on it. Maybe the installer will do something tomorrow get me to adjust this review a little, but I doubt it. How Dan Bradley Glass Shop handles its customer service alone is enough to stay away.
