  • I rarely post reviews but after some texts we received, I really dislike pushy people who act like we're dumb, that they are going to give you a deal and don't even realize you are on to them. Talk about a desperate shark at Surprise Ford. Sad thing is, this guy had no idea who he's talking to or that my husband runs a company with over 150 clinics, and is in charge of the financial success so he knows numbers. We've purchased a few new cars so we know the process. We've seen great deals on new explorers, between &29,000-$35000 at the Surprise Ford online. Surprise's website gives what the msrp $ and then their price. Under that they have a little button that says "Get EPrice". So we clicked it and put in our information in because one would think the eprice would be even better. Thomas, with the dealer, started texting us to immediately schedule an appointment to come in. We didn't want to immediately go in, we wanted the eprice. Especially when our kids are sick, we didn't want to be there for hours at the moment. After no response from him when asking what the best price out the door would be we reached out to a few other ford dealers to see what their best price out the door is and they said $30-33,000 out the door for what we wanted. Even sent an email confirmation with the offer in writing for multiple explores and their options. Then we came a cross a dealer with a $40,000 2017 enclave for $27,000! You NEVER see that. So of course that was a deal good enough to schedule our sitter with extra pay to watch our sick kids tomorrow. Well Thomas reached back out to us this evening and asked us if he could schedule us right now or tomorrow first thing. He also quoted just over $36,000, which is above their listed sale prices. How is that even a deal? We also just told him our kids had the flu yet he was like... schedule to come in. If he were to have given us an actual deal then yeah, we would have paid the sitter extra for the sick kids to go in right away, but he didn't. Then it gets worse! He started texting about how horrible the gas mileage was compared to their explorer, which was good information. So with my husband knowing numbers, we calculated my stay at home driving average over a five-year period with the difference in mileage between both vehicles and realized that it would be about $1500 more overall for gas on the enclave over the explorer. Especially since I really don't drive much. Everything is walking and bike distance from us. With the cheaper price of buying the enclave it would be a better deal regardless. Plus, a 9K difference in purchase price, and by his response he couldn't figure out numbers or obvious to what we were saying. Pics are attached. Even after his response, we decided to go ahead and give them another chance at a good price. Especially since he was so hooked on the mileage difference. So we asked him to do us a favor and email a Price quote because he jumped from 36,000 to 30,000 in his text. Just like we did with the other Ford dealers. He then texts that we should do him a favor, schedule an appointment right then or in the morning because we will be driving the vehicle home anyways. A little full of yourself? Really think I'm going to do business with someone like that? Hell no! Every brand new vehicle we've ever bought their dealer was able to send us an email confirmation on an actual price quote out the door. This dude was too lazy or too full of himself that we would just come in. Why do they even have "get an eprice" listed on the website if they won't give you a number and still have to go in and talk to them. So today we will go see the enclave and if we choose not to go with it we will drive to the other Ford dealer 45 minutes away who was kind enough to send us a price quote and did not hassle and push us to schedule an appointment to come in right away or first thing in the morning.
