Service and food are a bit hit-and-miss. Its mushroom 'tart' is really flatbread featuring mushrooms - competent but like some of their other menu items ($10-plus for a giant baked potato with pulled pork and the usual accoutrements) are overpriced. The green chili Mac and cheese may be a signature dish of 56 kitchen but it's a one-trick pony that can overwhelm so unless you're really into it, best select or split as a side.
On another night we were here, waited 10-12 minutes before we were served water and we had to ask to order another 10 minutes later - despite sitting at the bar, where there were two servers. The prosciutto and figs pizza came out half lukewarm, with 3 of the slices featuring no prosciutto. Granted, there was a large (trivia) party in dining room but it's still lackluster execution.
The staff's friendliness doesn't overcome these shortcomings, alas.
