You can call in ahead of time to this large and clean poker room. Decent game selection for most appetites. $4 max rake with no jackpot helps the long term cost, plus they comp $1 for food.
It's nearby the sportsbook yet they have lots of TVs on the wall with different games playing. The food selection from Grand Luxe is extensive and very reasonably priced and there's also a Noodle Bar next to it. Years ago Venetian pumped in this vile perfume smell that was overpowering, but I'm happy to report that's gone. They redid the pit area nearby so it feels fairly hip. I haven't stayed, but apparently the Venetian stock rooms are all mini suites for the very reasonable poker room rate.
I prefer playing 2-5 to 5-10 NL holdem. They had no 5-10, but several 2-5 games to choose from. For the most part it plays a little smaller than the 2-5 next door at the Wynn probably due to a capped buy-in of $1,000 instead of $1,500. If you like to play deeper with bigger-betting players it's not a bad walk across the bridge to the Wynn. If you don't like bullies, then you'll probably like it better here.
They also had a list for $1-2 Big O (5 card PLO/8). I really enjoy that game and hear it goes often, but not today.
All and all a quality room worth checking.
