  • The food here tastes pretty good, and the prices look pretty reasonable, until you realize you're mostly paying for sauce and rice. While all restaurants have an incentive to skimp on more expensive ingredients, the extent to which Prince of India holds back on key ingredients is insulting to diners and destroys what seems like a good value. The menu boasts excellent variety, but a non-vegetarian thali with lamb curry came with only five tiny pieces of lamb (the sum of which would be 2 pieces at many competitors), and the tandoori mixed grill--which the menu says includes chicken, lamb, and shrimp--came with but a single shrimp of unimpressive size. The food isn't bad, but it's hard not to leave feeling like you got a little ripped off. If I return, it will only be for the buffet.
