The service seems to have gotten worse with the bankruptcy.
I'm amazed they have not made the connection that service + coupons = return customers
Picked up a pillow to go along with the fabric. Guy rang it up at 50% off.
I simply asked is that the right price? He said, "Hold on" and proceeded to change the price to 40% off. I was not upset; nor heartbroken because it wasn't a need. So then he proceeds to ask, "Is that better?"
Look folks, I get what he was after. I should have been happy to share a "moment" and clamor all over a mark down that I didn't think applied anywhoo. Everything in the section said 60% off but he finally looked up to see where we were pointing to and said, "Oh, well that's wrong the bigger sign in the window says all decor and pillows 40% off."
No worries, put it back. I get it. Closeout and final sales have to make the bankruptcy company some money but this dude soured it all that I wanted to put everything back. Alas, a school fashion show dictated that the fabric got to stay versus going down the road to see if JoAnn's had it in stock.
The Matthews store hasn't started liquidation yet but when they do someone will be in for a huge surprise as I search for an adjustable dressing form.
The time before included a surly black lady that didn't want to cut fabric but wanted to watch the clock for closing time although 6 of us where in line from 1 hour to 3 hours because with just 1 cutter and everyone has to get a minimum of 2 yards.....these ladies shopping ain't playing as they are buying fabrics for winter and fabrics that are not the cutest. In short, buggies full of fabric.
I had to dock another point after reliving the last paragraph.
