  • I have been eating Indian food since the 80's. At that time, in Nor Cal, there were no restaurants that I knew of, that served Indian food. I got my weekly fix at my BFF's house, courtesy of her mom. I drank chai almost daily as an after school treat. Her mom is vegetarian, so I always ate the same thing at her house: some type of dal, rice, yogurt and fresh made roti. Flash forward to today, and that is still pretty much what I eat when I go for Indian. We have only been to the buffet, so I can only base my review on the lunchtime offerings. I highly suggest that as you are being seated, you ask for garlic naan, if that is what you want. I stress, WHILE you are being seated. They are fast at this location and you will end up with plain naan if you don't speak quickly. They encourage you to start right away and your water will be waiting for you when you bring your first plate to your table. The naan will quickly follow. The samosa is vegetarian, along with a few other dishes. I have only had samosa, dal, rice, tandoori chicken, garlic naan, yogurt mixture and kheer. They are delicious. The only thing I would like to see is plain yogurt. I am not fond of the yogurt mixture, but I eat it because I cannot imagine eating Indian food without yogurt... naan and/or roti. My man loves this place so much that he does not want to go back to Mint. I think Mint is good, but have had a plate get cold while I waited for my naan. The staff is pleasant and the place is small, but has air conditioning. Enjoy.
