I got nothing but great things to say about Gerber. This was my first experience with them. I dropped my Jeep off last week and every step of the way their team has been professional and courteous. Allison in the office was fantastic and kept me posted on the status of the repairs throughout the week. She sent me picture text messages that kept me up to date on the progress.
Ryan was the technician who made the repair and he was so concerned and conscientious about the quality of his work that he called me to let me know that he wanted to re-coat the bumper top coat again because he noticed a paint run that he wasn't satisfied with. Most people would have just hoped I wouldn't notice and try to pass off the shoddy work.
Then to top it off, he actually drove out to my office and brought me my Jeep back when it was ready and took the rental back for me. I've lived in Charlotte over 10 years and had my share of accidents because people are crazy drivers here, and of all the body work I've had done not one shop has ever personally brought me back my vehicle. As a busy mom I was supremely grateful for this gesture.
I see complaints on here about the time it took to make the repair, but do you want it done quick or do you want it done right. Auto repairs are just one of those things where estimate dates tend to be fluid. There is nothing convenient about car accidents, so expect to be a little inconvenienced.
Gerber had my Jeep ready in a week and they also washed the exterior and vacuumed the interior when they were done. I would have gladly let them keep my Jeep an additional week for the level of service and care they provided. Quality work and professionalism isn't something you can rush like that.
