| - I hate buying cars. I really, really do. But my ol' faithful Jeep was on its last wheels, so I had no choice. After doing weeks of research, hubs and I had narrowed it down to 4 models of used SUVs we were interested in. ACSS had 3 of the 4 vehicles we wanted to look at (2 GM models, 2 other), so we girded our loins and showed up Sat morning with a battle plan and lots of coffee ingested.
We were expecting the wolf-pack of salesmen to descend on us like we were a pair of wounded gazelles. Instead, a lone salesman, Dillon Gerdes, greeted us and asked how he could help. We told him we were interested in test-driving 4 specific vehicles -- and it was just that easy. (Even easier, as after driving the first two on our list, we made our decision.) Dillon answered our questions, gave his opinion when asked, and was a delight to deal with.
No hard sell, no nonsense. We knew the going rate for the vehicle, so were comfortable that we got a fair price. Of course, paperwork takes forever, even if you're not financing. But the event that I'd been dreading for months took a mere 3 hours, including test-drives. And the ease of the transaction was due to the professionalism of Dillon Gerdes. I'd send my own mom (heck, I'd send YOUR mom) to Dillon for her next car purchase.
