| - Quick, reliable, pricey, and SLOPPY. Really, guys?
Well, my wife and I dropped off her $400 pair of L.K. Bennett's to put some rubber on the fancy suede soles. (Who in the world buys $400 shoes?!!! Well, that's not the question -- she did, and I'm just going to cut down on some other stuff and live with it.) We took them out of the box at Quality Shoe Repair & Luggage, removed the protective film from the soles, paid, and left. The shoes were ready four hours later. The rubber on the soles was done perfectly. Bravo! And then there was some glue stuck on the top of the shoe. With some rubbing -- removed. Success. And further, there was a nasty scratch... No amount of scrubbing can remove that. There goes that brand-new-shoe feeling. First-world problems, you say. Time to look for another shoe repair place, I say.
