| - Me again, I've been struggling with my washer/dryer getting repaired for the better part of two weeks. Normally this wouldn't be too big of a deal but after coming off of my billing nightmare just a new weeks ago, I have very little patience with my leasing office. First, my work order was taken verbally over the phone and Nadine did not ask me for my consent for permission to enter my apartment so of course, Chris (who I really like!), was not able to work on our machine. Then, the heating coil for the dryer was replaced but the washer was still broken. Then, the washer timer was replaced but the washer STILL isn't functioning correctly. Finally, after days of unanswered messages both on voicemail and taken verbally over the phone I decided to call ONE MORE TIME before walking into the office to figure this mess out in person and I AM SO GLAD I DID! I was finally able to speak with Lori (spelling?), a Manager at my leasing office, who I LOVE. She was thorough, apologetic and she actually LISTENED to me. After hearing me out and understanding my true situation, she agreed; the washer/dryer needs to be replaced. She spoke with the head of maintenance, ordered our new machine, called me back right away and even offered to accommodate a maintenance employee's schedule to ensure we are home when the machine is replaced so that we "feel better" about the situation. I still will not be resigning my lease next fall but I am thankful to have understanding and competent employees such as Lori in the office that I actually TRUST to make my final year here at least a little bit more bearable. THANK YOU LORI!!!!
