They do not want to help solve your problem. They only want to sell you a new phone.
I went to the Apple Store because my iPhone was not connecting to cellular. I spent upwards of a half hour there while they ran "diagnostics". This process took much longer than necessary because they woman who was supposed to be helping me was simultaneously talking to another customer. After waiting patiently I was informed that my phone was beyond repair and I would need to purchase a new one. Good thing I am inherently suspicious of salespeople because I took the phone to Verizon the next day and the guy there fixed my problem in 2 minutes by simply holding the lock and home buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appeared onscreen.
After this experience I will never buy another Apple product.
