This place is an in between-er. There was a few things I liked a lot but the others were ehh. Let's start with the bad ones. The tonkatsu don was okay. It didn't taste special or anything. The Tonkatsu sauce was already on the meat which made it soggy. I recommend asking for the sauce in the side. The miso soup was one of the worst I've ever tasted, mostly because it tasted like hot water.
On the upside, we ordered the Buta shio buttkake and it's amazing! In fact, we loved it so much that we ordered a side of noodles to add to the broth. The sesame ice cream was also one of the best I've ever tasted. I'll definitely get a scoop every time I go.
We wanted to start with the gyoza but the waitress forgot to ring it in, I guess. We didn't feel like eating it anymore.
I guess if you're gonna go here, try the Buta shio buttkake and the tonkatsu with sauce on the side!
