| - I've been to this salon a few times before this incident occurred on Nov 14. My mother was visiting me from out of town and I thought it would be an excellent day to go get our nails done together, a mother-daughter day of sorts, but our day quickly turned into mother-daughter nightmare on Elan street. My mom has natural long nails, she requested they be clipped and pedicured, within seven minutes of her pedicure the nail tech cut her finger tip off with the nail clippers, blood started spurting all over the table and her hand. The three nail techs on duty, a older gentleman, a woman, and the young man butchering my mothers fingers, immediately tried to shift the blame to my mom. Telling her things like
"You should have asked for them to be filed"
"Your skin is too long"
"You have too much skin under your nail"
and my favorite
"You should never ask for nails to be cut only filed!"
To which we simply responded, "don't you all have licenses?" They got very quite and simply nodded
They then proceeded to try and stop the bleeding by squeezing all the blood out of my moms finger, putting some disinfectant on it and copious amounts of freaking nail glue. Yes dump nail glue into a newly opened wound... we simply got up and left.
.
Do your employees have licenses? or at least enough common sense to understand where a nail grows out of? I don't recommend this butcher shop to anyone, the employees have terrible customer service skills, never learned how to cut finger nails, and simply don't care about mutilating their customers.
If you do decide to walk into the nail shop of horrors, you have been thoroughly warned. We will never associate ourselves with this borderline slaughter house again.
(I would like to add a side note, that they did offer us a discounted pedicure and MAYBE even a free one at the owners discretion) That's right folks, no apology, just a discount.
