| - I LOVE this dog park! I used to bring my dog all the time when we lived on the west side of Madison. Now we are on the east side, and I am not willing to make that drive all the way over.
But, regardless, this is a great park! My favorite thing about this park are the "regulars." After a while, if you get on a schedule, you get to know people and their dogs, and your dogs become doggy pals, and the humans can chat together while keeping an eye on the activities. It's a really nice little sense of community! I do miss that!
The park itself is a decent size. Lots of open space to run, a small agility set-up, and a trail that loops all the way around the park if you prefer to do laps. It's not too big, and even from the far end it's still only a 5 minute walk back to the car, but it doesn't feel small or cramped at all.
There is a small patch of trees for the dogs who want to get some shade, and there are a couple benches throughout and picnic tables.
It's kept up pretty well. It can get a little muddy in the wet season, but that's the same with any park! I've definitely brought home a mud-soaked dog a few times lol.
Overall, it's a great park! I do recommend if you live near by!
