  • When a dentist won't even look in your mouth for less than $150, it's time to go elsewhere. I got this place as a referral from 1-800-Dentist. Having had a very bad experience with another dentist here in Las Vegas, I thought I'd try a referral service. They made my appointment, I showed up, The receptionist asked if anyone had discussed their fees with me. I replied "no". I was told basically that they'll look in my mouth for $150 and then it would cost between $100 to $300 for my filling. I said " so it could cost me $450 for this single filling?" He replied "yes", I left. I'm not going to pay $150 for some dentist to look in my mouth and tell me that I need a filling. I already know that. Any professional should be able to give someone an estimate for whatever work they have to have done for a reasonable price. The fact that this dentist won't even see you unless you commit to paying them $150 is a serious issue for me.
