| - Bed Bugs:
They are traveling from apartment to apartment. There are 3 buildings that I know of that have had bed bugs, including the one I have been in. The 912 building has had at least 3 apartments treated, one, at least 6 times. 916 building at least 2 apartments and one of those I think was treated twice. So, it's not just the tenants, its the complex. Someone has had mold in her apartment since the day she moved in. It got so bad she couldn't stay in her apartment and had to go to a hotel room. Instead of doing right by her and getting it handled immediately, they are giving her hell because of it and the fact she finally had to get a lawyer.
CO2 Poisoning:
A woman in another building has had CO2 poisoning and almost lost her life last summer.
Leasing Office:
I have had issues with loud neighbors for two years and the most recent is the worst.
The leasing managers don't care about the safety and health of the tenants. If you complain too much (or at all for that matter) they treat you like you're wrong for complaining..especially if they feel you are complaining to much. Nichelle and April are nasty as hell. The leasing manager that was the head one in charge before April got fired because of her nasty attitude from my understanding, but I never had to deal with her so I dont know. Yes, I agree, many of the tenants over here are triflin' and need to be put out, but for those of us that try to do right and just want to live in a place that is safe (in every way that you can think of), get treated like dirt if we "complain too much".
There is a woman that lives in the 936 building who constantly blasts her music from her apartment and her car, she has had numerous complaints about her music (and thats the RECENT complaints), before that, it was abuse that many times could be heard from the parking lot that others have told the police. Complaint after complaint, she is still allowed to stay in the apartment and has not been put out. Any other complex would have put her out long ago. She is stressing people out around her; neither her nor the leasing office seem to care. Even though they say they were going to get the police reports from all the times the police have been called!
The people in the complex can be trflin' and loud as hell. But do the people in the office handle it for violation of lease? NO! They just sent out notes saying it's a violation of the lease to be loud. So guess what, people continue to do what they're doing because they know nothing will be done! It seems like the only time they put people out is if they aren't paying rent on time or fight in front of them (leasing office).
All they care about is the money. The happiness of their tenants is irrelevant! This has been the worst place I have lived in and I have lived in some doozies! Places that look worse than this and rent was a whole lot cheaper but they at least cared about their tenants! If someone is getting too many complaints and police called because of noise, fighting, etc, those same tenants would have been put out! But oh no, not here! As long as you're paying your rent and paying it on time, they don't care! They say they do, or pretend they do but their ACTIONS say something different
They will ask their tenants who complain "too much": What do you want us to do? What do you want done?
Or, they'll tell you to document, document, document but you do all of that, and give them more proof, have more than one person complaining...They STILL dont do anything except tell you: We will put it in their file! Or repeat the questions above.
We have tenants whose floors are caving in for one reason or another. Instead of fixing it, they "band aid" the situation. Or, again, make you feel like crap for complaining about it! Ceiling falling in over the laundry room (and what I believe is under the tenants apartment that lives next to/above the laundry room's floor is caving in with it.
There was a time one of the maintenance men was in my apartment, one of the leasing managers called through on the walkie talkie saying someone had their heat on 75 and it was still cold in her apartment. The leasing manager said it in a smart-mouth kind of way..like she didn't believe her and was being inconvenience by having to call it out or even take the call! Oh, yeah, they sound nice on the phone, or when you go to the office when you talk to them....but dont let the nice tone fool you! These people are evil reincarnated!
I think the only reason they are half way doing right at the moment is because they are getting hell by AT LEAST two of the tenants that has had to get lawyers on them. But they still aren't wanting to do right and probably aren't doing right by over half the tenants! Especially those tenants that don't know about the hell they're getting from those two tenants!
