I know this place is ghetto famous. I get that some think it deserves more stars simply for irony.
But here's the deal:
Do I want irony in Vegas? Where there are soooo many competing amazing places that are open all night?
Peppermill is the kind of place that would mean so much to me if it was the only late night diner in a town with nothing else to do and the strange dark neon/art deco feel was just kitschy. But in my head, I can't put black lights and Hawaiian themes together, so it just feels really strange. I couldn't feel calm in the place if you gave me 3 shots of whisky and a valium. The cocktail servers in the lounge wear long evening gowns, and the restaurants servers where strange teensy server shorts with aloha shorts. It's just very very strange.
That said, everyone should go once.
