A slight chill in the air, pumpkins, homemade donuts, and tasty cider; fall is officially here in Vegas.
Gilcrease Orchard is about as hyper local as you can get. The farm/orchard has been in Vegas for over ninety years and they are still churning out some of the best gourds this side of the state line. I came here looking for pumpkins and found a lot more than that; tomatoes, apples, squash, cabbage and did I mention doughnuts?
Homemade pumpkin spice doughnuts and apple cider doughnuts are sold along with homemade cider they make on property. These are a great snack after you've wandered the grounds either by walking or taking a tractor tour and seeing everything from the comfort of your very own bale of hay.
Yes, stuff here might be a little more expensive than the average grocery store, but you're only supporting a farm, but also a family who has deep roots in the Valley.
