  • Let me start by saying if I could give them negative stars, I would. -5 to be exact. TERRIBLE SERVICE and worse customer service. I REALLY wish I had checked reviews before I took my car here. Without a doubt the WORST customer service I have ever seen. Let me explain. I knew that the shifter in my Ford Edge was bunk. I took it in on a Friday afternoon to have it officially diagnosed. They ran a full car diagnostic and everything came back fine, except of course the shifter. We scheduled a time for the following Monday at 8:00am to fix it. I returned the next morning, Saturday, to grab my car so I would have it for the weekend. Within 1/2 mile of pulling off the lot, my hazard lights start randomly going on and off. When I got home, this continued and my alarm began randomly going off. I was able to get it to stop. Woke up the next morning, car is completely dead. Not even enough power to open doors with remote. I call them and of course their service department is closed. I asked that they have it towed back to the lot, explaining that nothing was wrong with the car when I brought it in( per their diagnostic test) and somehow it simply died within hours of leaving their lot. They fought me on this( rudely might I add) but finally acquiesced and got it towed. I received a call the next morning. Miraculously, a mere 1/2 day after their test said my car was fine, my battery and alternator simultaneously died. Suspicious to say the least. I confronted the service manager about this, and they were adamant that it was a mere coincidence and that I would have to pay more money to fix this. I begrudgingly agreed. I pick my car back up that afternoon, only to have the hazards start going off AGAIN within 1/2 mile of leaving the lot. I turn around and take it back. After just minutes before being told everything was fine, they NOW said my control panel was broken. Again, the only people touching my car were their techs and there was no problem when I took the car in. AGAIN, they said this could not be their fault. HERE IS WHEN IT GETS GOOD. After fighting me on gving me a loaner, they do. I have it for 3 days with no phone calls updating me on the status. I call. They tell me the part is on back order and they have no way of speeding up delivery. Could be as long as a month, they say. I had already had enough so I took matters into my own hands. I got the part number and called around. Another dealership said they would have it within 2 days, so I ordered it myself. Called Performance back to tell them not to worry about ordering it because I had taken care of it, they were mystified. I picked the part up and was told by the other dealership that Performance had called them repeatedly, trying to determine how they could have possibly gotten it so quickly. ( Keep in mind that I specifically asked Performance if they could get it through another dealership and they said no way, absolutely not). I took it to them and had it installed. Everyhing is fine now but PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF SANITY, DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!
