Been hearing great things about Takamatsu, finally had the chance to try it today. I always get the Bibimbap when I eat Korean food or the bulgogi. Knowing that this is a korean/japanese resto, I wanted to try one dish from each cuisine.
When I entered the restaurant at 3:30 pm, there were just a couple of tables. The lady greeted us and and asked where we wanted to seat. The resto looked clean and the tables were nicely set up. But the whole ambiance looked old. Timing is perfect with our server, gave us enough time to browse the menu and popped up perfectly when we were ready. We ordered Vegi Yakisoba and Dak Bokeum.
Side dishes arrived, they were mediocre. I've had better. Then the Yakisoba, again it was meh. Noodles were soggy, flavor was just okay. Then the Dak Bokeum arrived and ding ding ding we have a winner! We basically licked that dish off the plate. It was spicy but not as much, about a medium on my scale. Chicken was tender and flavorful and the fried jalapeƱos gave it an extra kick.
We will go back to try their sushi and rolls next time since they have a variety of it. Though the Yakisoba was a downfall, this restaurant is still A okay. :)
