| - Lovely library. Plenty of space to move around, gather your study group, or sit by a computer to work/research.
There are dedicated meeting rooms on the 1st floor so call ahead to book a room. As you walk into the library main entrance, you will see a meeting room schedule posted on a tripod so you can always pop into a meeting if you feel so inclined. When I came here on Saturday, April 28, 2018, I read on the meeting schedule that a Toastmasters group was meeting here so if you are interested in joining Toastmasters, come and check it out here. There is a teenager section on the first floor also and a copy/fax room. As you walk up into the second floor from the stairs, beautiful sunlight from above shines down creating a welcoming atmosphere. I love natural light in a room.
The 2nd floor has adult books, computers to use, a specific room for quiet study which has a few tables and chairs, 6 study rooms for small groups or individuals, and chairs/tables across the floor to work from. I was lucky to find a desk tucked away in a corner by the window to work from. It was cold by the window so I left the library only after about 45 mins there but overall, I love how big this library is and how many rooms and sections there are to work or study from. I will definitely be back but I wish I lived closer to this library.
Side-note - there is a walkway on the 2nd floor that takes you to the Heights Knowledge and Innovation center across the street which is pretty cool especially in winter because you won't have to walk outside to get in there.
P.S. I was able to snack on a candy bar and drink water out of my water bottle. 2 other people sitting next to me were also snacking on little bites. I don't know if this is actually allowed but some libraries absolutely prohibit food and drinks.
