Kennywood is a great thing to have in Pittsburgh. The rollercoasters are old and small, but they're still pretty fun when the wait isn't 1+ hour for each (yay marching band!). The phantom has broken/gotten stuck at some point every time I've gone though, so either I'm just extremely unlucky or they've gotta do something about that. Either way I'm pretty reluctant to go on it now since there is no way I am walking down from that high up in the freaking air oh my god I'm getting scared just thinking about it. The other rides are pretty standard for amusement parks - swings, spinning things, capsules that spin around and rotate at the same time, whatever anyone calls it anywhere, they've got it here.
Overall it's a manageable size and got a lot of character, and the wait for rides rarely exceeds 1.5 hours on a bad day so it's worth it to buy a ticket, unlike big parks coughcedarpointcough. It's just as crowded on a summer day though, and the poor kids working there do not try to hide how much they hate sweating endlessly at their incredibly repetitive jobs.
Also, I've always been afraid to ask this but... dopotatopatchfriestastejustlikefiveguyfriestoanyoneelse?
