rev:text	I adopted my dog Gucci on Father's Day 2012. Gucci a Wire/Silky Terrier Mix who was two years old. I began going to the VCA Northern Animal Hospital through the VCA incentive program. Gucci had epileptic seizure, severe allergies and crystals in her urine for she was found wandering the streets I only suspected she might have some health concerns. Adopting a pet is like giving birth to a child. No matter what they are born with you accept and give them the best care possible to make their lives fullfilling. I think anyone adopting a pet should be ready for the expenses that can occur and should not go into adopting a pet to satisfy their own personal reasons for it should be for the love of the pet, in good health or bad and in sickness or in health. Its no different than the bond of vows one takes. Gucci has been an exceptionally loyal, loving and amazing dog who I love with all my heart and soul. I want to thank the staff at the VCA Northern Pet Hospital for their passion for animals which shows in how they handle each and every pet. I have always found Gucci greeted with the warmth of a visiting relative. The staff treats each pet and its owner as family and takes care of their needs with the same love and attention. With each staff members dedication we would not have been able to properly treat Gucci's epileptic seizures. Through the doctors patience and detailed review of her symptoms and needs Gucci was given the appropriate testing which discovered what treatment plan would be best to treat her health issues. The veterinarian was was sympathetic to how horrible it was for me to watch the pet I loved have seizures and assured me once we got the medications regulated they would decrease and I would see improv my family to ensure I get reminders when Gucci's medication is needed. So thanks to my amazing blood family and my new adopted family at the VCA Northern Animal Hospital I am able to be a good father to Gucci and give her the love and medical attention she needs. The staff also has always fully disclosed what costs were involved with Gucci's treatments, what alternatives there were and how best to care for her. I always listen attentively and even takes notes to remind myself what to do when I get home. If I still need clarification I have always found the staff more than willing to go over the details with me again with patience and understanding. When your Pet is being treated and your emotions are involved its so easy to miss things that were told to you. So all I can say to those of you who have complained that something was not explained to you properly is that I find it difficult to believe that if someone like myself with a brain memory injury can remember what I was told that someone who has no medical issues must not be listening, on their cell phone while things are explained or even maybe trying to get out of paying for their pets treatments when they are clearly explained. I witnessed this today and was truly saddened that a pet should be parented by such a person. I understand mistakes can be made, however when it comes to my pets care I would go without before I ever let Gucci's care come second. So I hope that each of you who read these appraisals can weed through the people who have written comments that are untruthful and truly just want a free ride. After signing into yelp to give my recommendations, I read some of the negative comments. Alls I could say to myself was that these people must have went somewhere else. For the experience I have had at the VCA Northern Animal Hospital has been nothing but exceptional. The entire staff is amazing and thanks to their dedication to my pet Gucci health. I can assure you that Gucci has received the proper care she needed to enhance her overall life. I would recommend anyone to take their pet to the VCA Northern Animal Hospital if you truly love your pet and want the best possible medical treatment possible.
