I have found my wife's and my bike shop and I will NEVER go anywhere else.....and you shouldn't either. No more national shops or fly-by-night shops for us!
We have been riding on & off for years, heck, I bought my first "real" road bike in 1986 as an E3 while stationed in Puerto Rico. It's always been difficult to find a local shop that:
1) Knows what they're talking about
2) Performs excellent service
3) Listens to me and doesn't make me feel dumb
4) Has reasonable pricing
I went in the other day and Neil helped me out in fitting me on a newer used bike I recently bought. Some bike shops use the tried and true measurements, and Neil knows all about them, but he went beyond that. He looked the bike over, looked at how I sat on it, watched me ride around on it, and asked some questions about where I was uncomfortable. Once he did his magic, I was riding on a bike that felt as if it was one with me.
Looking through the shop it appears they have pretty much anything you need, or they can get it. It also looks as though they also support many local rides.
Support the local shop and head to Golden Spoke for ALL your bike needs, you won't be disappointed.
