| - Oh, boy. Where do I start. So I'm not new to this place, and honestly the first time I came here I'd say based on what we had (pearl milk tea frappe shaved ice), it probably wasn't enough to justify a firm rating. The taste was very mild for that one, but as you dig in, you eventually get to taste more of the milk tea. But anyway, that experience would've been a 2 stars at max.
Moving on to tonight's experience... Right off the bat we wanted to try the strawberry frappe but was informed that it was sold out. Fair enough, we went for the strawberry shaved ice on the other page instead. We also got the mango mango (literally called that). When we got our orders, not a single drop of mango shaved ice and mango ice cream was seen on our mango mango order. It was literally just ice shaved with vanilla ice cream. COMPLETELY different from what the menu said, but okay...
Unfortunately, our "strawberry shaved ice" happened to be in the same situation. It was literally ice shaved into a bowl and adding some strawberry syrup... Uh, I'm not paying $7 for literally shaved ice. Um.
When asking the waitress about the vanilla ice cream and the lack of mango shaved ice, she said and I quote "oh yes, that's what it is", uh, no it isn't. Your menu says otherwise. Then she tells me they changed the recipe and that she only found out now when I pointed it out. What kinda... Anyway, you'd really have to be blind not to see the vanilla ice cream and the white instead of orangey-yellow... Couldn't you at least question your cooks before bringing it out to serve your customers, who, by the way, have no idea of your change which YOU failed to mention before taking our orders?
Basically we ended up paying $15 for ice that was shaved into bowls. Haha, hilarious.
Anyway, never coming back.
