I think Stash becomes my favourite yarn store I've been to yet.
Yarn tourism is kind of my thing apparently. I have seen Stash's social media feeds and I love how they do classes that are more than just how to knit knits and purls and that they expand on other crafts in their store. I walked into their space and exhaled a muffled "oh my god" as I looked around. The store is a) gorgeous and full of light and colour and b) incredibly well stocked with a variety of yarn and other craft supplies. I loved the little embroidery section, and the macrame supplies as well as the notions. And let's not forget about the yarn... I wish Stash was my LYS. They are one of the few stores you can get Brooklyn Tweed at, and the first place I've seen WAK kits and yarns. There was a good mix of indie yarn, as well as commercially distributed yarn. They also carry a solid range of books and patterns in addition to all the squishy yarn goodness.
I definitely made a dent on my credit card here, and I can't wait till their online store goes live. (Open a sister store in Edmonton!)
